Abstract

Hyperactivity in early childhood is a behavioral disorder that can affect a child's social, emotional, and academic development. Parents' lack of understanding of the symptoms of hyperactivity and the limited availability of experts often hinder early diagnosis. Therefore, this study aims to design an expert system that can assist in the diagnosis of hyperactivity in early childhood. The method used in this study is system design using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) with the assistance of Rational Rose software. System modeling is carried out using several UML diagrams such as Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams to illustrate the system's structure and workflow. The results of the study are an expert system design that can assist users in conducting consultations based on the child's symptoms and provide information and initial treatment solutions. This system is expected to help parents and related parties in recognizing symptoms of hyperactivity in children at an early age.
