Abstract

The manual process of conducting the Academic Potential Test (TPA) and grouping new student classes at SMKN 2 Kraksaan is inefficient, time-consuming, and prone to subjectivity. This research aims to design and implement an integrated web-based system to automate these processes. The system combines an online TPA exam module with an automatic class grouping module using the Constrained K-Means clustering algorithm. This algorithm was specifically chosen for its ability to incorporate constraints on the number of students per cluster, ensuring a balanced and objective distribution across all classes. The system was developed using the Django framework and the Python programming language. The study concludes that the integrated system successfully improves the efficiency, accuracy, transparency, and fairness of the new student class grouping process at SMKN 2 Kraksaan.
