PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TENTANG HIV/AIDS TERHADAP KEPATUHAN PENGGUNAAN APD PADA CLEANING SERVICE DI RSUD DR. H. MOH. ANWAR SUMENEP

Abstract

Background:Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrm is infectious disease caused by the Human Immuno Deficiency Virus. The spread of HIV / AIDS in Indonesia from year to year continues to increase, Given the increasing number of patients and many patients treated in the window period (the time it takes from a person infected with HIV until proven by laboratory tests reactive HIV), the hospital personnel associated with direct patient or personnel handling the waste is including people who are at risk of exposure to HIV, for the use of universal precaution (UP) for workers in hospitals, especially doctors, dentists, nurses, laboratory technicians, nursing assistants, clerk hygiene, sanitation workers, and so on.

Objective:KnowledgeablecorelationishealtheducationaboutHIV/AIDS onthe use ofUPincomplianceCleaning ServiceofficeratHospital Dr.H.Moh. AnwarSumenep.

Research methods: usingquasyexperimentwithone group pretest-post test design, population in this studywereallCleaning Service at Hospital Dr.H.Moh. AnwarSumenep, the sampling techniquein this studyissimple random samplingas many as26people, analysis oftestdate usingWilcoxonmatchedpairstest.

Results ofthe research:cleaning serviceincompliance withUPuseinHospital Dr.H.Moh. AnwarSumenepbeforehealth educationon HIV/AIDSremains largelycompliantin the useof UPandadherenceThere was an increasein theuse ofUP for cleaning serviceat theHospital Dr.H.Moh. AnwarSumenepafterhealth educationon HIV/AIDS.

Conclusion:There is an effectof health educationon HIV/AIDS onthe useof UPcompliancein thecleaning serviceat theHospital Dr.H.Moh. AnwarSumenep.
